Neova Creme de la Copper Day Cream 1.7 Oz

Neova's day cream, and the one product in the range carrying both of the brand's technologies in a moisturizer rather than a serum. Neova calls it an intense patented moisturizing cream with DNA Cofactor, their name for DNA repair plus Copper Peptide Complex together.

What is in it

Copper Peptide Complex, listed as Bis (Tripeptide-1) Copper Acetate, thirteenth on the ingredient list. One DNA repair enzyme, from Arabidopsis Thaliana Extract, fourteenth. Three ceramides, Ceramide EOP, NP and AP. Neova's own account of what the first two do:

• Copper Peptide Complex. A proprietary delivery system that uses the body's natural protective carrier to deliver copper peptides, an essential micronutrient for skin health and strength, deep within the epidermis; essential for tissue repair and the stabilization of skin proteins.
• Arabidopsis Thaliana Extract. The liposome-encapsulated DNA repair enzyme extracted from a tiny mustard plant; recognizes the most common form of DNA oxidative damage and initiates its removal process to protect the energy center of the cell.

One enzyme, not three. DNA Total Repair and Advanced HA each carry three. This carries one, and the trade is a richer base built around the copper.

Who Neova writes it for

In the brand's words, "skin types with advanced photodamage, even the most sensitive, perfectly suited for mature skin and those with dry to very dry skin." That last part is what Nava's page has never said: this is the rich one in the range.

Use it in the morning

Mornings, after your serum, with sunscreen over it. Neova names it a day cream, its application note says daytime, and it sells an overnight counterpart. Its page elsewhere allows once or twice daily, so if this is your only Neova moisturizer and your skin runs very dry, evening use is permitted too. Sunscreen goes over it every day, whichever way you run it.

Texture, timing, skin types, the sunscreen line and the dermatologist claim are Neova's own. Ingredient positions and the alcohol note are read from the ingredient list.

Where it fits in a routine

After cleansing and after your serum. Neova pairs it deliberately with Night Therapy, saying they are designed to work best together, with the day cream on environmental protection and the night one on overnight recovery.
